Do we always need to know where the story ends?

2.8.10

I used to have a very good friend. We shared stories, of my numb heart, of her healed slits. We shared laughter, dreams and good times. Or at least those are what I thought we had…

She brought rainbows to my life, then she brought my boyfriend, her best friend, to our friendship. My boyfriend, her best friend, the one she shared everything to.

Here’s the thing: I didn’t just wake up one morning having my boyfriend as my boyfriend. There were whole long periods of knowing each other, of finding each other fit and of feeling that we wanted more than just friendship. I didn’t steal my boyfriend from his best friend.

My boyfriend and I, we never meant to leave her out. We just couldn't help falling in love for each other and we took our friendship to a courtship. We're still her friends, although she didn't agree on that. Maybe she understand, but she just doesn't know how to deal with it.

Time and life: they’re moving. Things and plans: they are changing.
We don’t know how the story goes, let alone directing the happy endings...but we can act or pretend to act. I just hope one day we can go back to our roles as three good friends. I don't like seeing her acting as a bad guy, because she's not good at it.
